  • Dr. Eui-Seok Nahm’s corrected scholarship email of 18 September 2026 confirms Global College tuition at USD 2,795.52 per semester. Social Welfare is also printed as “2,795,52” in the PDF, but is not explicitly covered by that clarification; confirm that department’s amount and billing period. Other departments retain the guide’s 2026 reference fees.
  • The PDF says 2027 degree fees and undergraduate scholarships are pending; the Global College scholarship and tuition table below uses Dr. Nahm’s specific Spring 2027 correction email instead. Confirm the final programme invoice and award conditions with FEU.
  • Academic eligibility: completed primary and secondary education equivalent to Korea’s system. Applicant and both parents must be foreign nationals; dual citizenship is not eligible. Special naturalisation timing conditions apply.
  • English track: IELTS 5.5; TOEFL iBT 59 / CBT 170 / PBT 497; New TEPS 202; or an equivalent nationally accredited test. Valid certificates are required.
  • Korean track: TOPIK 3; FEU’s language test; university-affiliated Korean Level 3 completion; Sejong Intermediate 1; KIIP Level 3 or pre-assessment 61+; or another listed qualifying route. The guide also lists a one-year same-university Korean course plus a TOPIK-3-equivalent test and exemptions for certain ethnic Korean / Korean-school applicants.
  • TOPIK 2 and the guide’s listed lower-level equivalent routes require at least 300 hours of language training during the first year. Korean-track students must obtain TOPIK 4 before graduation.
  • A partner-institution recommendation may permit a language-certificate exemption only after Admissions Management Committee review; exemption is not automatic.
  • Students already residing in South Korea can also apply, subject to programme eligibility and their current immigration status. Include residence / visa details and an ARC copy where applicable; admission does not automatically authorise a change of visa status.

Bachelor’s scholarship chart: Spring 2027

  • Comprehensive Score = 50 × (GPA ÷ 4.0) + 50 × (IELTS ÷ 8.0). The university’s chart uses GPA on a 4.0 scale. For Bangladeshi SSC/HSC results on a 5.0 scale, request FEU’s accepted conversion; do not insert a 5.0-scale GPA directly.
  • TOPIK equivalents for this scholarship calculation: Level 2 = IELTS 5.0; Level 3 = IELTS 6.0; Level 4 or above = IELTS 7.0. These are scholarship calculation equivalents, not automatic admission or visa equivalences.
  • The chart’s IELTS 5.0 column is not a guarantee of eligibility. On 18 September 2026, Dr. Nahm advised that admission with IELTS 5.0 may be possible, while visa issuance may be difficult depending on the overall profile and visa review. The general admissions guide lists IELTS 5.5 for the English track.
  • Net tuition excludes housing, living costs and any other charges. Confirm the scholarship award duration, renewal conditions, programme applicability and final payable invoice with FEU.

  • 2027 graduate fees are not yet determined. These are the guide’s 2026 reference amounts, before scholarship. Admission fee: KRW 600,000. The fee table does not explicitly label the billing period; confirm the programme invoice. KRW values are used to avoid treating the guide’s USD equivalents as current exchange rates.

Expected graduates may apply subject to final documentation. Foreign-parent nationality / complete overseas education eligibility applies as listed in the guide.

Korean-taught programmes require TOPIK 4 or equivalent before graduation.
  • Selection: document screening plus oral examination (General Graduate School; 60 points or below is disqualifying) or interview (professional graduate route; non-pass is disqualifying). Interviews may be in person, by telephone or video. Final approval follows the Graduate School Committee review.
  • Graduate application fee: KRW 40,000. Submission by post or email to kdugs@kdu.ac.kr; use the applicant’s name for fee transfers.

Application, visa & refund notes

Admission and visa approval are separate decisions. FEU does not guarantee visa issuance or entry.

  • Bachelor’s applications can be submitted online, in person or by registered post; the guide requires completed online forms with only signatures handwritten. Online portal: international.kdu.ac.kr/applicant/main.
  • University postal address: 76-32 Daehak-gil, Gamgok-myeon, Eumseong-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do 27601, Republic of Korea. Address undergraduate items to the Admissions Office and graduate items to Graduate School Academic Affairs.
  • Undergraduate applicants should apply for a visa immediately after receiving the admission letter, within the guide’s 7-10-day window. Failure to obtain a visa by semester start or enter within four weeks can cancel admission, subject to stated exceptional circumstances.
  • The undergraduate guide allows full tuition refund for withdrawal before semester start and for inability to obtain a visa or enter by the deadline. Its example withdrawal date says 31 August 2026 despite the Spring 2027 title; obtain the correct Spring deadline from FEU before relying on it.
  • Language-course refunds are paid only to the applicant’s account, a legally verifiable family/relative account, or a personal account with notarised handwritten power of attorney. Depositor/recipient identity and payment proof must meet FEU requirements; original confirmations may be requested.
  • Degree students must maintain required health insurance. Undergraduate entrants submit a TB certificate within two weeks of entry, or on dormitory move-in day. False documents, unmet eligibility, incomplete originals or missed payment deadlines can result in rejection or cancellation.
  • Graduate enquiries: kdugs@kdu.ac.kr; +82-43-879-3676, +82-43-879-3661, +82-43-879-3660 or +82-43-879-3656. One additional telephone entry in the guide appears incomplete; use a complete listed number.
